The Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre (ALC) has added a new collection of over 200 titles to its "Khazanat Al Kutub" initiative. These books will be showcased at seven prominent commercial locations across the UAE from 22 April to 7 May 2025, in parallel with the 34th Abu Dhabi International Book Fair (ADIBF 2025), one of the region’s leading book fairs.
The significant expansion in the number of venues hosting "Khazanat Al Kutub" activities testifies to the initiative’s success in reaching out to a wide audience of readers and enthusiasts and the growing demand for its cultural and knowledge content. It also reflects the ALC’s commitment to establishing direct contact with the public, promoting a culture of reading and providing access to its latest publications in carefully selected venues. The Centre’s strategy prioritises the Arabic language as a cornerstone of national identity, in line with the UAE leadership’s directives to ensure the prominence of the Arabic language and strengthen its position in society.
The "Khazanat Al Kutub" agenda for the second quarter of this year launches in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, with Manar Mall hosting the initiative from 22 April to 5 May, offering visitors an interactive reading experience. This will be followed by simultaneous events at CityLife Al Tallah Mall in Ajman and Mega Mall in Sharjah from 23 April to 6 May, underlining the ALC’s strategy to diversify the initiative’s locations and reach out to all categories of readers.
In the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, the initiative will be held at Al Dhannah Mall in the city of Al Dhafra from 24 April to 7 May, in parallel with activities at Makani Zakher Shopping Mall in Al Ain, and Bawabat Al Sharq Mall in Abu Dhabi during the same period. The agenda of events will conclude in the Emirate of Fujairah, where Al Taif Mall will host the initiative from 25 April to 6 May, as part of the ALC’s strategy to expand its overall geographic scope.
All the venues together will showcase more than 200 titles published by the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre, including books from the Kalima Translation Project, the Basaer (Insights) series of research papers and studies, and other intellectual and cultural works in fields such as children’s literature, heritage, social sciences, arts, philosophy, and history.
The "Khazanat Al Kutub" initiative continues to generate significant public interest, particularly on weekends, with its rich content that meets readers’ aspirations and cements the ALC’s position as a cultural driver that aligns with the UAE’s ambitions to promote the Arabic language and expand the scope of culture and knowledge.
