Dr Fatma Almazroui: Author, publisher holds a PhD in literature and criticism.
Began on September 5 and continued until November 7, 2023, with weekly in-person session held at the Cultural Foundation. It started with a general introduction to children’s literature, followed by an overview of the principles, elements, and techniques of writing. The workshop also included the reading of diverse literary texts, and explored different illustration methods, the nature of collaboration with illustrators, and the importance of visual elements within the text. In addition, it featured practical exercises involving the writing of a collection of stories, as well as proofreading, editing, and preparation for publication.
