The Al Dhafra Book Festival 2023, organised by the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre, commemorates the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) on Monday, December 4, featuring a performance by students of the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination on the Festival's main stage, as well as cultural sessions within the Cultural Programme and students participating in artistic shows.

Among the cultural sessions is one in which parents share their experiences in raising their children of determination, reviewing success stories, and overcoming challenges at various stages of their children's lives and exchanging their experiences and advice on enhancing their children's growth and empowering them in society.

This is in addition to a lecture that explores the comprehensive approach adopted by the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, encompassing education, therapy, and community integration. It also highlights success stories, innovative programmes, and the holistic care provided by the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination – Madinat Zayed Centre to empower individuals with disabilities to lead better lives, by fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for everyone through collaborative efforts between families and the Centre.

Throughout its voyage, the Organization made successful strides in humanitarian care sectors, the most prominent of which was its effort to provide care and rehabilitation services for all types of people of determination in all locations of Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra.
