Reminiscing the Beginnings” Concludes the Al Ain Book Festival 2023

As we approach the end of the Al Ain Book Festival 2023, organised by the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre, and reach this year’s final cultural destination, visitors will be able to attend the cultural event “Reminiscing the Beginnings” at Bait Mohammed bin Khalifa, brought by the Cultural Embassy of the United Arab Emirates at the Arab League of Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organisation (ALECSO).

Among the highlights of the event is an unprecedented musical performance of the Prince of Poet’s poem “Mount Toubad” with a Gulf-style rearrangement by musician Ihab Darwish, performed by artists Tariq Al Menhali and Ali Al Junaibi.

The event also includes a joint art exhibition featuring a selection of prominent Emirati and Arab artists and creators, including Sheikha Alyazia bint Nahyan Al Nahyan, as well as the artists Omar Safa, Aya Sharifa, Salma El Banna, Fatima Al Dhaheri, and Hala Ammous.

Furthermore, to celebrate those who enriched our cultural heritage, a group of distinguished cultural icons in the Arab world, from artists and authors to media figures, will be honoured, including Isobel Abulhoul, founder, consultant, and member of the Emirates Literature Foundation's Board of Trustees, as well as Dr Mohamed Safi Al Mosteghanemi, Secretary General of Sharjah's Arabic Language Academy, Dr Parween Habib and Fayez Kazak.
