Abu Dhabi International Book Fair Reserves a Major Part of Events for Children and Youth in Its 32nd Edition

The activities of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair this year have kicked off as part of its 32nd edition at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre "ADNEC." The Fair is portrayed by diverse themes ranging from cultural, artistic, creative, and professional aspects, in addition to the educational theme, which is considered one of the main pillars of the Fair due to its strong bond with children and youth who are among the most important segments of visitors.

The "Learn" programme has been designed specifically for children and youth, focussing on their cultures and interests. The programme includes a variety of educational and training activities and events that enhance the appeal, growth, and development of their scientific and practical skills within a valuable educational and entertaining framework. The programme also provides entertainment and developmental options that help improve communication between children, parents, and friends, comprehensive multidisciplinary panel discussions, and diverse sessions for university and school students aimed at expanding their horizons and encouraging their active participation in community development.

Among the main activities in the children and youth programme are fun and inspiring workshops and activities to explore galaxies, space sciences, and the secrets of the universe, as well as robots used in space stations and surrounding planets, and virtual reality experiences of space travel. Additionally, there is an opportunity to conduct chemical experiments in the chemistry lab for the production of sanitizers, soaps, perfumes, secret ink, and more.

This is in addition to the "Children’s Oasis," which provides an opportunity for interaction through fresh and inspiring activities and experiments. It includes art workshops, reading sessions, and opportunities to interact with distinguished writers in enjoyable and inspiring dialogues and sessions. These include the Dinosaur Corner, which includes workshops for excavation, engravings, and virtual reality games to experience the world of dinosaurs, as well as the "Number Blocks" corner, which focusses on numbers, calculation, and mathematics.

The "Alpha" corner within the youth programme also offers innovative activities that include visual and interactive experiences, specialised workshops, and experiments aimed at developing and improving their artistic and social skills. It provides them with an opportunity to meet and interact with influencers in various fields, expanding their perception of the future and discovering more about their world.

Among the other main activities is the interactive event "Exhaust Some Energy!" aimed at teaching children how to take care of our planet and make it more sustainable by relying on clean energy sources. There is also the entertaining session "Hello Mr Gum!" filled with jokes and funny songs, the session "What Do You Know About Ibn Khaldun?" to introduce the biography of Ibn Khaldun and his achievements that changed the world, the session "Being Together" to explore how to understand the people around us, accept their differences, and interact with kindness and tolerance, and the session "The Importance of Arabic
