Born in 1972 in Sharjah, UAE, Ali Al Abdan Al Shamsi serves as the Director of the Artistic Heritage Department at the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, in addition to being an artist, art critic, and member of the Emirates Fine Arts Society since 1989. His artworks have been acquired by individuals and institutions across the country.

A poet and researcher in musical anthropology, Al Shamsi has authored 15 books on art, music, poetry, short stories, and cultural heritage, while also serving as a member of various local and international arts and heritage organisations.
