HE Saeed Hamdan Al Tunaiji, Executive Director of the Arabic Language Centre, has acquired extensive experience in leading initiatives that focus on books and the publishing industry at the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi). He managed creative content and played a major role in publishing notable series of books, including with the Kalima Project for Translation and the ‘Isdarat’ series.
Al Tunaiji also serves as Director of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, and has risen through the ranks, assuming various positions, including Director of Media and Public Relations at DCT Abu Dhabi. He began his career as a journalist, worked for several Emirati newspapers, and wrote opinion articles on cultural pages in various dailies. Al Tunaiji has published several books, most notably ‘From and to the Depths of the Nation’, ‘Mosaic’, and ‘The Mistakes of Her Majesty’.
